About Mt. Vernon Elementary
Mt. Vernon Elementary School is one of 12 elementary schools within the Springfield Public Schools district.
Mt. Vernon Elementary is a school with deep roots in the Springfield community and even today has a campus lined with filbert trees as a link to that past.
We are a uniform public school, one of only a handful in Oregon. We believe that having uniforms and dressing for success creates a better climate for learning and making all students feel welcome. Uniforms help boost our school unity and pride, increase school safety and security, and help students focus on their most important task, learning.
Our Vision: At Mt. Vernon~
Each student will have access to the support and tools needed to achieve high academic standards, be empowered to become lifelong learners, and contribute to our local and global community.
